Drugs; legal consequences and legal situation associated with it

Before knowing the legal situation of drug use, knowing what exactly drugs are and what its consequences are is important. Drug is indeed a very broad tem which means that it is basically a chemical substance that has a certain biological effect on a human being. They are the substance of a chemical composition used in treating, curing and even for prevention and diagnostics of diseases basically used for pharmacological purposes.

As drugs are both medicines as we as psychotropic drugs; they are known to be addictive in nature. Both these forms of drugs tend to get addictive with prolonged usage.  All forms of drugs have some or the other form of side effects whether you use it as medicine or for recreational activity.

The most basic classification of drugs

Drugs that have an effect on the nervous system can be loosely classified or classified in the simplest terms as:

  • Hard drugs that imply a person’s physical addiction. Making, selling and using these hard drugs other than for medicinal purposes is considered illegal in jurisdictions of many countries. Meth (methamphetamine), alcohol, heroin, nicotine, etc. Nicotine and alcohol are however legal to be sold.

  • Soft drugs that unlike the hard drugs are not believed to or considered to cause physical addiction. Cannabis, mescaline, LSD, etc are examples of soft drugs. These drugs though do not cause physical addiction; they cause what is known as psychological dependence. Thus are illegal to be possessed and sold in many countries.

Drugs that have the characteristics of both the hard drugs and soft drugs can never be classified loosely into hard or soft drugs. Ecstasy, ketamine, caffeine, etc are examples of such drugs.

Most common forms of drug offense associated with illegal and also the prohibited drugs are possession of such drugs; use of such substances and supply of such drugs. It is always suggestive to opt for drugs with natural ingredients. Buy legal highs UK here.
